ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey y’all!

So for those of you who didn’t see the post that I (makesmyheadspin) put up yesterday from my personal page, Missy brought it to my attention that 4 of our stories were stolen from WordPress and posted over on WattPad. They were converted to fit another fandom, but no attempts were made by the author to ask for our permission to use our work. We are in the process of reporting the stole work to have it removed from her page. Through reading comments there, we’ve come to the conclusion that this “author” doesn’t actually write any of her own work. She steals from other authors, plugs in new names, and then slaps a notice on the description to let everyone know she’s a thief. As if that somehow makes it okay? Nope. Not really. I hope she’s not accepting money for these stories because that is a serious problem. I don’t think any of them are popular enough for that to be the case. Regardless, that’s our work and she had no right to steal it.

That said, Missy and I have come to the conclusion that we’re going to be shutting down our WordPress and moving everything over to WattPad. We will not necessarily be moving everything over to WattPad either, so if you want to save everything we have here, now’s your chance to do so. The Fire Stories and Play With Fire will NOT be posted on WattPad. We are also no longer emailing copies of those out, so please do not ask.

Onto the good news!

I discovered this morning, as I was moving stories over from WordPress, that we never finished posting A Whisper, despite the fact that it was completely written before we ever started posting it. Our bad. We seriously suck at remembering to post. We have so many completed stories that aren’t posted, y’all. We’re aiming to fix that.

I’m starting by letting you know that I have posted A Whisper on WattPad in its entirety. You can find it right here. If you don’t remember what the story is about, here’s the rundown:

SUMMARY: Three years ago Sookie Stackhouse’s fraternal twin sister Hadley went missing in New York City. Since there were no signs of foul play at the time she disappeared, there wasn’t much for police to go on. Unwilling to let her twin’s case go cold, Sookie moved to New York and into her twin’s apartment, hoping to pick up Hadley’s trail. Sadly, any leads Sookie has gotten in that time haven’t lead her to her sister. Then one day at her grandmother’s eye doctor appointment Sookie meets an attractive man who is immediately equally smitten with her. Eric Northman doesn’t waste time giving Sookie his phone number. With an instant connection, it doesn’t take long for feelings to grow between the two of them. But in meeting Eric, odd things begin to happen where Hadley is concerned. While her sister is still missing, Sookie can’t escape the feeling that her sister is trying to tell her something, but what? And does it have to do with the man that Sookie is rapidly falling in love with?

It’s 30 chapters in total and it’s honestly one of my favorite stories that we’ve written, so I hope you’ll go over there and check it out. If you want to follow us on WattPad, you can do that here.

Thank you all for sticking with us! We really appreciate every single one of you. If you’re in southern Florida right now, please be safe!
